Housing Needs Assessment

Washington County, Oregon

APG led this effort to evaluate housing market conditions for this county and its 10 cities. The assessment projected five-year housing needs, including for people with low incomes and special housing needs, such as those with disabilities, domestic violence victims, the elderly and others.

Based on the results of these efforts, APG worked closely with County staff to prepare an updated Housing Assessment and presented this information to the County’s Housing Needs Advisory Group. The updated Needs Assessment was incorporated in the County’s new Consolidated Plan for Community Development and Housing. APG was assisted in these efforts by Johnson Reid, an economic and market analysis firm specializing in evaluating housing and other development market issues.
